Hikes and visits
Through the small selection of paths we have prepared you, you will be able to discover a different part of the Island of La Gomera, they are simple routes that will allow you to enjoy beautiful landscapes
Reventón Oscuro – El Cedro We recommend you to take a taxi to the beginning of this route, the most comfortable is leaving your car parked at the end of the path as it descends until Hermigua which will force you to return for your vehicle. The road begins with a paved hint that leads you into in the National Park of Garajonay. When we arrive at the crossing that indicates El Caserío del Cedro, we turn to the right until we arrive to villa. Guided by the jet water jump, we come in a marked slope that starts with a small waterfall, later through the ravine; we arrive at the neighbourhood of the Lomo San Pedro, end of the route
We recommend you to contact a taxi driver of Hermigua to pick you up at beach once the trip has finished. When the sea is calm, preferably in the months from June to September it is possible to go for a swim at this small beach. The road begins in front of the bridge that crosses the ravine almost at the Beach of Hermigua, in the neighbourhood of Los Pedacitos (it has direction signs). It ascends from the mountain until arriving to an earth hint, where we will go left and will follow until its ends. A spectacular view of the Teide and Tenerife will accompany us until arriving to a wide plain and some stone stairways, when going down these stairs we will arrive to the beach and the end of the route. At the beach there is a bar, with typical food open almost all year round.
Juego de Bolas – Mirador de Abrante-Agulo
We recommend you take a taxi to the beginning of this route. It is the most comfortable to leave your car parked at the end of the path as it descends to Angulo which will force you to return for your vehicle. The road begins at The visitor centre, the path leads you without deviation until the crossing of the road of Roquillo, at this point we turn to the right to arrive to the Mirador de Abrante where you will enjoy the impressive view of Agulo. Returning to the crossing of Roquillo and going to the left we begin to descend the road with the same name until arriving at the end of the path that finishes exactly before the tunnel of Agulo
Roque Blanco – Garabato- Vallehermoso
We recommend you take a taxi to the beginning of this route. It is the most comfortable to leave your car parked at the end of the path as it descends to Vallehermoso which will force you to return for your vehicle. If your lodging is not located in this municipality you can use the regular bus services (at this point the company doesn’t have connection with the south of the island). The road begins with an earth hint at about 200 m from the Restaurant Roque Blanco and will take us until the Teón, this descent is carried out through cultivations, flora and abundant vegetation. When arriving to the Teón, the earth hint finishes and a path will lead us to the right until passing the prey of Garabato, where once again the earth hint will drive us until Vallehermoso, end of our route.
Las Hayas – Jardín de Las Creces – Las Hayas.See map This is a circular route so you can park your vehicle at the village of The Hague and pick it up when finishing the trip. The path begins next to the Hermitage of Las Hayas, when arriving to the point where it splits in two we will take the left, our walk will go through cultivations and Laurisilva, compound basically for fayal brezal. The path disappears in a wide esplanade surrounded of trees and a small picnic area, at this point and approximately in front of the end of the path we came from, a road that will take us with a different route to La Haya begins where we will concluded. At scarce kilometres of La Haya, is located the Village of Arure, where we will find the Restaurant Casa Conchita, beloved business of exceptional typical kitchen, governed by its kind owner, Conchita
